JIPA Network Expands in the Bahamas

NASSAU, Bahamas, June 13, 2019 – Residents of the Bahamas will greatly benefit from timely access to affordable healthcare options, as JIPA Network is expanding its reach in the country. JIPA held an official launch event at Balmoral Club on May 30, 2019.

The launch was attended by over 20 local physician specialists and a number of medical service providers. Attendees enjoyed a presentation from the CEO and Chairman of JIPA Network, Dr. Kester Nedd. Dr. Nedd is a neurologist specializing in Neurotrauma and Rehabilitation. He is the former head of the Neurotrauma and Neurological Rehabilitation programme, as well as Medical Director of the International Programme at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Health System in Miami, Florida.

In his remarks at the event, Dr. Nedd commented, “These are exciting times for JIPA Network. Our expansion in the Bahamas presents opportunities for residents to have increased access to affordable, high-quality, global healthcare.”

Event attendees were introduced to the new JIPA Network Director for the Bahamas, Mrs. Cherry Martin-Knowles. Mrs. Martin-Knowles is a nurse that has acquired a great deal of management and patient advocacy experience in the Bahamas over the past 20 years. Prior to assuming her role with JIPA, she was responsible for International Patient Coordination at Doctors Hospital. As a Network Director with JIPA, Ms. Martin-Knowles is working with local healthcare providers and payors to help patients access needed medical services that are not available in the Bahamas.

Based in Doral, Florida, JIPA Network is an international association of best-in-class healthcare providers representing all specialties and subspecialties. JIPA delivers comprehensive health benefits to government entities, employer groups, and other community partners, including: medical evacuation, care coordination, case management, and concierge services.
